It turned out that one of the girls we signed to dance was underage. We’d done low-angle shots of them dancing on phone booths, which look great, and she was incredible. Her mother threatened to sue, so we edited part of her out. [Rick] Rubin was like, ‘Can you cut her completely out?’ I said, ‘No, she’s too good.’
